Netfilx suggestion #2

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to tell you about a new Netflix discovery which I love. This show is called Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, its a comedy about a women who got brainwashed into joining a doomsday cult. Kimmy and a group of other women were kept in a bunker for 15 years, then they were set free and found out that the world didn't end and they were tricked. Kimmy now 30 chooses to live in New York and start her life all over again. But she still acts like a teenager with her dress sense and her actions, each episode shows her day to day life of what she gets up to. Every episode is hilarious with the jokes its definitely a show you should watch for a good laugh. My favourite character in this has to be Titus he's hilarious him and kimmy really bring the comedy. Every character really makes the show funny and worth watching. The downside is that this is fairly new to netfilx in the UK so we only have season 1 up to now which I have finished, and I cant wait to see more.

I love this show because its dumb and funny, I love that kimmy is portrayed to be quite dumb but its so funny at the same time. When you see here going off to buy clothes in the first episode she buys glitter shoes that light up, I mean this just shows the inner babyishness in her and its hilarious. There is also an episode where she goes to a nightclub and even though she is a 30 year old she really acts like a 13 year old. In the nightclub she's stood with a rucksack that has her name sewn on it and her light up shoes, you see what I mean now with the inner babyishness and the dumb comedy. But nevertheless I just love it and I think its comedy gold.

Would you watch this let me know in the comments

My week.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, today I thought I would give you a quick run down of my week. So a lately I am not going to lie I have been feeling so un inspired with blog posts, I have been finding it so hard to come up with new ideas on regular basis. Its really annoying but every blogger must go through it right? I need to start jotting ideas down, and getting out there and taking pictures to write up on. I always find it so much easier to write a blog post when I have good pictures to show off.

(card my mum got me, its so nice and cute)

So now I have finished college, I went in to pick up my final grades for my media course. To say I started the course late and everyone knew what they had to do, and I was so far behind I managed to get distinctions. Which is great and I am very happy about it. I think the real reason why I did well is because I was learning something that really interests me, and I have a real determination to do well. It really pays off working hard and being determined because you get good results.

Can you remember last week when I wrote a blog post about getting my nose pierced?, well im sure you will it wasn't long ago. But anyway I'm still very undecided by it, so until I have fully made up my mind then that's when ill get it, or not get it done.

I have also been working on improving my CV and I am planning on getting them printed and handing them out, to as many places as I can. I really need a job and I know how hard it is to find jobs but I'm making it my number one priority to find one, by improving my CV and making it as good as I can it will really catch potential employers eye.

So, I hope you enjoyed reading me ramble on a little but I thought I would share my week.

Let me know what you're up to this weekend in the comments

Sunday skincare

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, today is Sunday and that means lounging around watching Netflix and pampering your self. That is exactly my Sunday routine today. Now today I woke up with the biggest spot ever on my nose it was huge, so I thought I would have to let my skin breathe and give it some tlc it needs. I love wearing makeup I really do but its nice to just give your skin some air and let it breathe, especially if you want to get rid of a spot like me.

1. Peel of face masque- when it comes to faces masques Montagne Jenesse always springs to mind, this brand is so affordable and every girl has tried these masks out they are great. I love the peel off ones and the rinse of ones they both do the trick but today I wanted a peel off one. This masque  deeply cleanses the pores and removes dirt and build up. This is exactly what I need to get rid of my spot to deeply clean my skin and leaving  it feeling pampered and lovely.

2. every night before I go to bed and every morning, I like to wash my face with a facial wash I have so many different ones. For example this particular one fights spots and blackheads, obviously this is the one I am picking today to fight my pesky not so little spot.

3. Royal jelly moisturiser I love to apply this before I go to bed, because I suffer with dry skin a lot so this leaves my skin feeling so soft. Royal jelly is perfect for people who suffer with dry skin I highly recommend it

So I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday, and let me know your favourite skin care product in the comments.

Lauren

Midweek thoughts.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog so this week has been fairly stressful, not going to lie. I had a maths exam on Tuesday and I really do not deal with exams very well, I was getting very stressed and panicked but realised its not going to make things any better.  The stress was making it a lot worse I was starting to forget things I revised, so I took a deep breathe calmed down and just tried not to stress. Now its over I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

So moving on I have been thinking a lot a lately about getting my nose pierced, I have had it done before but It got infected it was probably  my own fault. Now I am a little older I want it done again so I am thinking of getting it pierced Friday. I watched Gabrielle Lindley's vlog on youtube and it showed her getting her nose pierced, it looked amazing and it made me even more certain to get it done myself.

Also college is finally coming to an end I have finished all the last bits and all that's left to do is pick up my grades, I really cant wait for September starting my new course. I decided to do journalism, I am really looking forward to it I love writing and I have been saying for a long time that journalism is the job I really want, and its never changed. I really can imagine myself in that job it would make me very happy!

So, how is your week going so far? let me know in the comments

Netflix suggestion.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog today I thought I would share a new found obsession of mine. So I got Netflix the other day and straight away I started watching this tv series called once upon a time. I haven't been able to stop watching it, I am actually watching it right now as I type this. So I thought I would give a quick description of it and recommend it to you.

The storyline: Snow white has a baby with prince charming, the baby is called Emma. Emma is the only hope of breaking the curse the evil queen set on all fairy tale characters. Prince charming puts their baby into a magical wardrobe, and they hope when she is 28 she will come looking for them. Emma gets a knock on the door by a kid called Henry. Henry turns out to be Emma's child, but there is a twist the evil queen who is now in the real world adopted Henry. Henry knows about the curse because he was given the once upon a time book. Storybrooke is the town where all the fairy tale characters live, but no strangers ever visit this town and nobody ever leaves, when Emma visits this town the curse starts to break starting with the time finally changing on the clock. The evil queen is the mayor of Storybrooke and everything is run by her, Emma must uncover the truth that Snow White and Prince charming are her mum and dad, and the fairy tale characters will be freed from Storybrooke and will remember their fairy tale identities. (Every episode shows the fairy tale characters in the real world, and it also shows their story in the fairy tail world)

I love this tv series, one series after the other its always really gripping. I am currently on season 1 episode 11.

Would you watch this, and can you recommend any good things to watch on Netflix let me know in the comments.

Why you should start your own blog.

(a picture I took on Sunday I really love this picture and had to include it)

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog today I wanted to write a post all about blogging and why I love it so much. I
express a lot that I enjoy blogging and its a fun hobby, so I am going to tell  you what I love so much about blogging and why.
So, it all started in august last year I wanted to start a blog for the longest time and I finally felt confident enough to set it up. At first it was a little difficult learning all the technical terms with setting up my blog up, it was like a foreign language CSS codes what on earth are they? trust me they aren't as scary as they sound. When you set up your blog from scratch and add all your own personal touches, you feel so proud of what you have achieved.

The main reason I started my blog is because I have always enjoyed writing and I love reading other peoples blogs, I also thought it would be really good practice for the future, because I really want to become a journalist. I have gained so many skills from setting up my blog, I thought I was a fairly creative person before my blog but when you set a blog up it really challenges you. This is because you have to come up with new ideas on a regular basis, so you always have to think of new exciting ideas to get your readers interested and potentially bring in new readers. I also have gained a lot of confidence from starting my blog, because I was really nervous at first with how people would react I was constantly worrying about what other people will think. Now I really don't think its important as long as you're happy with what you're writing then that's great. I also have become better at writing, by writing on a regular basis it gives you a chance to improve on mistakes and make your writing  better and more interesting.

Why you should start a blog: I think blogging is a big thing today, a lot of people blog and its such a great thing because you learn all sorts of new skills. If you're thinking about should I or shouldn't I start a blog just do it, you really wont regret it  I am so glad I finally started my blog. The blogging community is also really nice and supportive, everyone is so friendly and supportive to each others blogs and I think its great. One lovely comment on your blog can really make a big difference it always puts a huge smile on my face. If writing is a thing you really enjoy then definitely give blogging ago, it will give you a lot of practice and really get you thinking more creatively. I also think blogging is great for when you have a bunch of things you want to express, you can just head over to your blog and write it all down. Its your own little space to write what ever pops into your head!

Photography and blogging: When I first started my blog I have to admit my pictures were really bad, they were usually taken on a iphone camera very quickly and not much thought went into them. This is because I thought blogging was all about writing, but I was wrong good quality pictures really grab your eye and make readers want to stay on your blog and read more. I have gained more experience with photography through having my blog and I continue to learn more.

hair colour change!

Before

(after)

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, as you can tell by the title and the picture I have darkened my light locks. I loved having light hair and it was fun but I felt like my hair lacked a lot of shine. I have had my hair dark in the past and it always looked so shiny. I am really happy with the result of my hair it looks so much shinier. I have had my hair light for a couple of years now and I just got a little bored and it was time for a change,  I really like this colour and its a nice change. I was a bit hesitant with dying my hair darker but im so glad I did and I definitely wouldn't use any other hair dye brand, I honestly think garnier nutrisse dyes are amazing quality.

(picture from google)

This is the colour I used and I absolutely loved this dye, it states on the box that it Is nourishing and it is 100% correct. The conditioner is amazing it left my hair feeling so silky and shiny and I loved the smell. I would recommend these dyes to everyone. I used to use nice n easy dyes and I really like them but they're not half as nourishing as these!

What do you think to my new colour? let me know in the comments

Eylure lashes review

Hello and welcome back to my blog, today i thought i would do a beauty review. Its been a while since I had done one of these but I wanted to find a product that was really worth writing about, and here it is these eyelashes are the prettiest things ever. They are so natural looking and just give a subtle airy look meaning they are nice and fluttery in the corners but also give a nice bit of length. I have tried quite a few eyelash brands but none of them have ever lived up to Eylure they are amazing quality, you pay around £5 and get a pair of lashes that can be reused. To me that is a bargain when the glue starts to build up on the eyelash band all you have to do is get a pair of tweezers and gently pull the build up off, then like magic they are like brand new again.
(Buy here for £5.35 at superdrug)

Are they really lightweight? yes they really are, when I applied these lashes I totally forgot I had them on they really feel like your own and you hardly notice them. Which is great because you don't want something irritating you all day.

Make sure before you apply them you have measured them to your eye, because most of the time you will need to trim a little bit off

How do you apply them is it easy? It really is so easy to apply them, all you have to do is apply a thin layer of glue to the lashes wait for it to go tacky, grab some tweezers to pick them up and gently apply as close to the lash line as possible. Using the tweezers makes the application a lot easier and more precise.

Is the glue any good? I really think the glue that comes with the eyelashes is great they don't budge all day, normally the glue that comes with eyelashes are so rubbish but this isn't. I promise you wont have them hanging off through out the day.

I love wearing these eyelashes with a little bit of eye shadow and a winged eyeliner, we all know the trouble of putting eyeliner on and it looking like you have no lashes!

Here is what the lashes look like, as you can see they look really natural and just give my lashes a nice bit of length and volume. I would really recommend Eylure for lashes they have a huge range of lashes ranging from daytime to night.

Would you try these lashes?let me know in the comments
