To Save review: hit or miss? *

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I haven't written a fashion style post in a while, but I was contacted by a brand called To Save which is a very affordable clothing site, they kindly offered to send me a few things to review. Being a student it is great to see clothing sites that are affordable and good quality, so I  wanted to put this brand to the test and see if it is worth it or not. You can visit To Save by clicking here

First of all, I love this necklace it is definitely my favourite item. I have been wearing it a lot almost every day and I just think it is so simple and cute, it literally goes with any outfit. Normally I am the one to stray away from cheap jewellery, but this is an exception as it is really sweet.

This blouse is so cute, I personally love the beaded detail. The only criticism I have is that it is way too big for me. It is an oversized blouse so just be mindful of that. For the price, you can't complain but the material is very thin but all-in-all it is a lovely design it is just a little too oversized for me hence why I can't show me wearing it.

And finally, I chose a pale pink bag. Now, this again is brilliant considering the price which I cannot complain about but the quality is a little flimsy. It is a lovely design I just don't think it is very practical but nonetheless, it is perfect to buy if you're just wanting a bag that's a little different but you're on a budget.

Overall To save is a good site for people who are on a budget, they do offer on the trend stuff but be aware of sizing. I do think some of the material is a little on the thin and flimsy side but again, for the price, you cannot moan. I would rate To Save overall a 5/10

Have you ever shopped at To Save or would you? Let me know in the comments
Until next time,
Lauren.

Self care tips during exams

University is a stressful time, even though I have finished my first year I still have exams, which are extremely stressful and this month, in general, can be too much for students. With all this in mind, we can forget how to look after our self and it's so important to remember that we should dedicate more time and relax. We all have our own way to wind down and it's vital that you do so as stressing will make your exam season worse.  To be able to achieve good results it is important to put your mental health first, so I have come up with a few tips on how to balance everything and stay happy.

Self-care tips

  1. Take a relaxing bath and switch off for a while. Revising all day can take its toll, you need to have a rest and take a deep breath.
  2. Take some time to pamper yourself and look after yourself, whether that be to put on a facemask, paint your nails or just catch up on your sleep because us students are bad for pulling all-nighters and it really isn't healthy.
  3. Go outside - Take in some fresh air, go to a local park and just relax. There is nothing worse than being cooped up in your bedroom all day.
  4. Exercise -  Believe it or not, exercise makes you happy it releases endorphins; a happy mind and body is the key to success after all.
  5. Watch a movie and switch off - Sometimes, and this is me included we often don't switch off from life and take a deep breath from it all especially in the exam season when worry is on everyone's mind. Try not to fret it will only make you feel ill, instead reward yourself by taking a break and watching a film or your favourite TV show on Netflix.

I wish you all the best of luck with your exams. My main tip would be to give it 100% in the exam and revision and that's all that is expected of you. I also recommend to draw up a well-organised revision plan so you can spend each day wisely and avoid the night before stress, as revising the night before is a recipe for disaster. Get some sleep beforehand and wake up refreshed and ready for the exam, have a healthy breakfast and take some water into the exam so you're hydrated.

Until next time,
Lauren
