My natural makeup essentials

Today I am throwing it back a little and writing a beauty post, something I used to write a lot when I first started this blog. I'm not an expert but I have found a few firm favourites that really work for me. A lately I have been enjoying more of a toned down makeup look - more of a no makeup, make up look if you get my drift... Anyway, it can be easy to get caught in the endless instagram beauty trends and it's hard to stay up to date with it and of course not everyone has the budget to spend on luxury make up items; that is why I have put together a natural makeup look that can suit both budgets. I will list all of the items starting from the base...

FOUNDATION 

 Collection Illumanating foundation in the shade golden ivory.
 I remember I have tried this foundation in the past and I didn't really like the formula but, I decided to give it a go again and I dont know if Collection have changed the formula but I love it! This foundation achieves a dewy natural look, it's a light to medium coverage and is defintley buildable. I love how dewy and healthy it makes my skin look and the main advantage is it's so breathable - there's nothing worse than having a heavy foundation on your skin that feels so cakey.

EYEBROWS

I completley forgot to take a picture of the brow product I use but, I use the Elf palette in the shade dark brown. It's like a pomade and it's hands down the best brow product I have used, you can buy from Superdrug here  The best part about this product is that it's only £4.50.

EYESHADOW

On days when all I want is a very natural almost skintoned eyeshadow look I use my Revlon palette. It's a lovely mixed brown tone palette that can be great for daytime looks but also for night, which can easily be done by using darker shades. 

MASCARA

Most of my cosmetics are from drugstores (Boots, Superdrug etc) but occassionally if it is really worth investing in a high-end product I will. This YSL mascara is defitnely that item, I have used this a few times in the past and always loved it infact, it was the first every high-end makeup I purchased back when I was 15!

BLUSHER AND HIGHLIGHT

I use the ProFusion blusher and highlight palette as the blusher shades are super natural and the higlight just gives you that fresh faced look, perfect when you need a little help with your skin. I love the highlight in this palette it's so natural but beautiful and a little goes a long way. I never really heard of Profusion before until I received this in a gift set for Christmas - the brand is definitley worth looking into they offer amazing makeup for really affordable prices. Their eyeshadow palettes are amazing also the pigmentation is unreal.

LIPSTICK

The key to any natural makeup look is to keep the lips natural and stay close to their natural colour, so stick with a nude colour. I have chosen a Ted Baker lisptick its a beautiful nude shade, the only downside is I got this in a Christmas set so I don't know if it is avaliable. The positive is that drugstores now offer a real wide range of nude lispticks, catering for everyone!
