How to: quick and easy smoothies

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, so recently I have been getting back into making smoothies daily again and I am so glad I have. They are so sweet and yummy perfect for breakfast or when you fancy a quick sweet snack, also its great for fussy people who don't like to eat fruit but still want to get the goodness. So these two smoothies  are the ones I whip up on a daily basis for breakfast time and they go down a treat.
These smoothies really hit the spot and breakfast time they are so filling.
If you want the smoothies extra cold and don't want to use frozen fruit then add ice cubes or just leave in the fridge for a little bit.

Strawberry, blueberry and mango smoothie.  (makes around 2 servings)

 1.    First I add about 1/4 a cup of milk this really helps all the fruit blend nice and smooth by adding liquid first. (any milk will do)

2. Add 1/2 a cup of Strawberries  ( freshly washed and cut)

3. Add 1/2 cup of blueberries (freshly washed)

4. Add a cup of mangos I like to add a quite a few mangos to really make the smoothie.

5.  Add around 3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt I like to use almond flavour.

Now you have a scrummy smoothie, how simple!

Strawberry and banana smoothie. (makes around 2 servings)

1.  Add 1/4  a cup of milk (any milk will do)

2.  add a full banana cut up

3. Add 1/2 a cup of strawberries (freshly washed and cut)

4. Add around 3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt ( greek yogurt works really well, but you can use any one of your choice)

5. Optional add 2 teaspoons of honey for extra sweetness!

And they you go two simple and quick smoothie recipes.

What do you think to these smoothies, would you try them? let me know in the comments

Love,

How to: Get that sunkissed look.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, as you can see by the title and the picture above I am going to be writing about how to get that sunkissed glow. Now when we think of fake tan cheesy Dorito springs to mind, right? but with a gradual tanner it takes you to that sunkissed glow gradually, hence the name. Its a really subtle way to tan it stops you going from Casper the ghost one day and full on bronzed the next, because that's when your tan looks super fake and noticeable. Gradual tan is great for a subtle glow its just going to bring out a little bit of bronze and keep your skin nice and soft at the same time. I love the Dove gradual tan its one of my favourites I have tried some of the more expensive brands, but always ended up going back to my trusty dove tan. When you reach the colour you desire all you do is stop applying it everyday, it's as simple as that.

This is also really good for when you come back off holiday and you want to keep the tan up. All you have to do is apply It like you would a body moisturiser, I prefer to put it on at night and I wake up a lovely sunkissed bronze colour. I also used a little bit of this to go on holiday because it sometimes takes time to get a natural tan so  I wasn't so pale on holiday.
I chose the one with a soft shimmer it's really subtle but makes your tan look so pretty when he sun hits it. Don't worry you won't look like a giant glitter ball it's really subtle and hardly noticeable.

Gradual tans are the new way to tan and personally I think the best way. If you want to pull off a beautiful summer glow then this is the product for you.
(buy here)

So, would you give gradual tan a go? Let me know in the comments

Sunday pictures.

Hello and welcome back to my blog today has been another day of taking pictures, This plant really took my eye because i thought it would of made such a good picture. I remember these plants from when i was younger i used to make wishes with them, all the memories quickly flooded back. That is a reason why i love these pictures so much because it holds a lot of memories. So because these plants relate to making a wish i thought i would put down 3 things i wish for in life down below.

I love how you can go outside and there's a huge range of things you can take pictures of, all you need is a camera and your imagination. You'll be amazed how taking a picture of something so simple can be so effective and look amazing. I love photography how you can take anything you want and just be creative, it brings out your character and you can express your self through your pictures. Nobody's pictures are the same everybody has their own technique and way for example, camera angles, filters and what they choose to take. I love taking picture of plants and scenery i think they look beautiful, it is best to take pictures when the lighting is bright and the sun is out then you will get the best result.

My 3 wishes

3.  To live a happy and healthy life.

2. To keep my blog going and progress through the years.

1.  To achieve my goal of becoming a journalist.

those are my three wishes what are yours? let me know in the comments.

Friday notes 22.05.15

Hello welcome back to my blog today i haven't really had anything that exciting to do. If you have noticed, which i am hoping you have i have changed my blog design. I have made the theme more monochrome instead of the pink i felt like i have just grown out of that and it was time for a change. Don't be shy to tell me what you think in the comments, i have to admit it has been quite stressful working with a very slow laptop that decides to freeze halfway through typing things. I am happy with the outcome of it and i think it looks a lot more professional. So i found quite a few embarrassing pictures i would like to share, i must be mad i know but they will make you laugh im sure.

                                                                Old pictures vs now.
So as you can see i have changed quite a lot haha, the youngest picture on the right is me around 10 years old. It is a really embarrassing bus pass picture the other one above is me playing for a football team aged around 11. The one next to that is me aged around 13 i went through a phase of having jet black hair and a full fringe oh dear dont you just think when you look back i looked awful. The one next to that is me aged 14 loving that pout i must say. As much as i love looking back at old pictures they are just so cringe worthy, but we all have those pictures that make us cringe and laugh. But all these pictures are different stages in my life and they all hold memories i think its nice to look back, however embarrassing it is.

my weekend plans involve going shopping and getting my roots done at my aunites shop, i hate doing my hair myself so im glad somebody else is doing it for me!

Have you got any embarrassing pictures and what are your plans this weekend? let me know in the comments

Current mood.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog today I thought I would talk a little about what I am thinking today its just a quick little notes style post. I want this post to come across as  very laid back, just talking about things going round in my head so expect a random post today.

I love blogging and I always have had a big love for it, even before I started blogging my self I always enjoyed reading other peoples blog. But I have to admit its really becoming a challenge to come up with new unique ideas, it seems every subject has been covered. The main posts to be blogged are normally fashion and beauty posts I love writing them don't get me wrong but I want to step out of my comfort zone and write more personal and unique posts. I love just writing down all my little thoughts and ideas on here and having a bond between me and my readers. I still want to write a few fashion and beauty posts I enjoy them but I want to make my blog more lifestyle based. I just feel like there are so many of the same blog posts out there and you have to do something original and unique to make yours stand out from the rest.

I am looking forward to the week off college next week I am really ready for it, a lately I have just been feeling so tired and just lacking energy. So the break is really perking me back up! I hope the weather really picks up and gets really sunny so I can get out and enjoy the weather. It can be a tough decision when living in England, In the morning you don't know if to get all layered up or not. The weather can be very deceiving it  may look all sunny and beautiful but when you get outside its so cold and you're just stood there shivering. Sun, please stay out for good we all miss you.

The weather in the UK is being very odd one minute it is raining, the next the sun is out shining and its all lovely. So I managed to capture the weather while its being all sunny and pretty in this picture. I love how simple it looks but its very effective with the colours.

So, how is your week going so far? let me know in the comments

Sunday notes.

Hello and welcome back to my blog this weekend has been a fairly relaxing one nothing overly exciting. I really enjoyed just lounging around and just being well lazy! I started to get back into making smoothies and I am so glad I did it was so delicious and perfect for breakfast. Now I've started making them the night before ready for breakfast in the morning, Also my mum made a mint aero cheesecake which is so good.  We will be definitely having some more of that cheesecake later on.

I took this picture yesterday I thought the clouds looked so pretty and it was just the perfect opportunity to get a picture. I really enjoy photography and I have been getting more and more into it by the day. I know I need to practice a lot and they are a lot of things I need to learn but every one has to start somewhere.

This smoothie was so good how cute is this little cup I put it in!

I have to admit I wasn't very precise with this smoothie I didn't measure things out exactly
it was really just a trial and error and it went really well.

It has strawberries, blueberries and bananas in it!

So, what have you been up to this weekend let me know in the comments

Friday notes 15.05.15

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today has been the final day of filming for my groups documentary as a college project. Its been a lot of fun and I really cant wait to watch it all through. The weather has been so great today and all the shots looked so bright and cheerful, normally I really hate getting in front of the camera but today I really enjoyed it and made the most of it, but silly me took my camera out ready to take some good pictures and the realised I had forgot to put my SD card back in. I was really annoyed with myself but I still wanted to get some pictures so the Iphone just had to do today. We filmed at a place called the amphitheatre in Sheffield and it gave us this incredible view of the city centre this was great for our introduction. I was really gutted in a way because this place was a great opportunity to get my camera out. But you get an idea even though they are only taken by an Iphone.

Everything looked so bright and summery today.

The view of the city centre.

Another picture a little glimpse at the view of the city centre.

I don't know why but I really liked this picture in black and white. The picture was took by a friend.

And the picture again but in colour.

Todays selfie.

So over all ive had a great day its been a lot of fun, the weather was such an advantage. I really cant wait to put all the documentary together and watch it I just know its going to be really good and its something to be really proud of.

So, what are you up to this weekend let me know in the comments

Simple beauty.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, today I wanted to keep this short and simple but still keep it interesting for you.  I have spoke a little bit about simple products before but didn't go in too much detail. I have been using simple products for a while now because I have really sensitive skin and I really have to be careful with what I use. But I never get any bad reactions from these products and I just cant stop raving about them.

So normally I am not one for using make up wipes and I normally use the simple micellar water. But since I ran out I thought I would  try something new and picked up these wipes. I love them they seem to be doing my skin a whole lot of good since I started using them I haven't had one spot. They seem to be working a treat for my skin and really giving my skin the love it needs.

The facial wash is also great it is packed with vitamins and its great to give your skin a quick refresh in the morning. It helps maintain healthy glowing skin and that's what we all want to keep our skin nice and healthy, because our skin is very delicate and we need to look after it to prevent getting dull lifeless skin. Swapping your skin care products can make so much of a difference. Make sure you're using the right products.

The wipes give my skin a good exfoliating treatment, it feels super soft after. I've also said since using these products I haven't got any nasty little breakouts this is so true. Normally wipes are really frowned upon but these i highly reccomend.

The facial wash is such a great pick me up in the morning it's so good to add to your skincare routine. It keeps my skin healthy with all the vitamins.

Have you ever tried simple products? let me know in the comments

Lauren

Hello welcome back to my blog, today has been another day of filming my groups documentary for college. It has been a really good day and its gone very well. We decided to go in a place called millennium gallery in Sheffield, its a very popular attraction and it has some really nice eye catching art work so we decided to interview people there. All the people we interviewed were very lovely and we really appreciate them taking some of their time to help us out with our documentary. So while I was there I decided to take some pictures because there is so much great things to take pictures of. The model made out of spoons and forks really caught my eye so I had to get a picture of it, how interesting does it look? I just love the results of the pictures. I also did my first role for the documentary i am doing the presenting side of it and it went really well i managed to learn my lines and get it done the first time! (yay me).

I love how interesting this looks. The detail like the rusting of the spoons really make it look interesting.

Can you spot me in the reflection? (ha ha )

Its just such amazing talent it proves you can make anything out of anything.

A picture i took of the filming today this man was very friendly and made a great interview :)

And obviously I had to include a selfie didn't i

So that's been my day, i hope you have had a lovely day and let me know what you're up to this weekend in the comments

The dreaded writers block.

The dreaded writers block.

Hello and welcome back to my blog today I am writing all about the dreaded writers block. This happens to most bloggers from time to time, because it can often be difficult to come up with new imaginative ideas on a daily basis. I have struggled with this problem myself and I want to share a few tips to overcome it. First problem is you have run out of ideas and you have no motivation, staring at a wall isn't really going to help you come up with an idea now is it? So I would suggest to get out of the house and discover the outside. You will come across lovely sights and you will be surprised how the ideas will form by just doing a simple thing like going outside. I like to take my camera outside with me and get some lovely pictures from where I am then you can write up about what you have been up to. By uploading a nice picture the words will just flow with it and it will no longer become such a task to think of what to write. Sometimes its also nice to write an honest post if you're going through a tough time figuring out what to write why not be honest and write about it. Everyone goes through this especially people who write on a daily basis.  I know what you will of done because I know I have too, and that is to go on Google and search 'blog post ideas'. Now this can help by looking at different topics bloggers have chose but its not going to help in the long run. Those Google results are going to be the same so every time you Google it they will remain the same. So get out and do something about it.

I have to admit it really can help looking at other blogs and seeing what they've wrote, and interpret that into your own idea. When I am writing a post i am normally in doors but I see a lot of people going outside with their laptops and typing away, This could work if you go to a nice peaceful place with lovely scenery it will get your creative side flowing and before you know it you've got a blog post.

Notes: Taking notes is a great idea i have a notebook my self of blog post ideas. I jot down a few ideas and it really helps me out it gives me a subject to write about and i already have notes to go along with. All that's left to do is put it all together.

Motivation: The main problem of having writers block is the lack of motivation. Think back to when you normally writing blog post what mood are you normally in? it more than likely will be a happy motivated mood. It's good to have something to write about you feel very passionate about, finding a subject like this gives you plenty of motivation. It wont just benefit you it will benefit your readers because they will notice that it has a positive sound to it and it will be more enjoying to read.

Do you struggle with coming up with ideas? let me know how you overcome in the comments.
                                                                 Love,
                                                                 Lauren

Friday notes 01.05.15

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today has been a very productive day, me and some friends all decided to meet up in Sheffield town centre  to  film our documentary for college. It was a lot of fun to gain experience and have a few laughs as well. I thought I would take my camera a long with me to get a few pictures to share. The documentary is about Sheffield interviewing people getting their opinion on the town and filming all the main attractions. So far its a lot of fun we still have a fair bit to go but its going really well. My role is to do the presenting side of it, I find it a lot fun making a film/documentary and watching it all when its finished. You end up feeling very proud of what you have achieved.

We featured this market stall in the documentary the food smelt so good here the man is cooking paella.

Snooker is currently being filmed in Sheffield so we thought we would interview a few people and ask their opinions on it. They were very nice and knew a lot about snooker.

This paella looks so good.

Also this happened, today I am a unicorn this makes me laugh every time I see it!

What are you up to this weekend? let me know in the comments

Lauren
