Confidence with out makeup!

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. So as you can see today I am targeting the topic of confidence, in particular about not wearing makeup. I love wearing makeup and experimenting with different looks, it gives me a lot of confidence and makes me feel more feminine. When you're wearing makeup on a regular basis it becomes more like a mask. Before you know it you end up wearing it everyday and you cant seem to leave the house with out it. I think its always best to give your skin some air and let it breathe, your skin really benefits from not wearing makeup.

When you're wearing makeup on a day to day basis, I think its always best to keep it natural. I love to wear a tinted moisturiser, because it leaves my skin super soft and gives a little coverage. I also like how it gives my skin a healthy glow. Save the bold look for when you've got a special occasion coming up! I also think its absolutely fine to not wear any make up at all, in fact I think its amazing to have that amount of confidence to hold your head up high.

Remember when you're looking at pictures on Instagram of celebrities, they are airbrushed and filtered to perfection. But recently you're starting to see more and more celebs show off selfies of themselves with out makeup. I think this is a great idea to show off your true self, with out all the makeup.  Its great that celebrities have got involved with this to show that they have flaws too, and the most important thing they aren't perfect!

I think everyone should share a picture of their true self, whether that be without a filter or makeup just give it ago!

Makeup Revolution new-trals vs neutrals palette.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I received my new makeup revolution palette, that they kindly sent for me to review. These opinions are all 100% my own and genuine. I thought I would share with you some of the looks I created with this palette, but first let me explain to you what I think about it.

When I first opened this palette I was so surprised with the colours, I thought they looked very high end and beautiful. I loved that there's a range of shimmery shadows and mattes. I also love the double ended eye shadow brush, I thought this was an amazing touch. When you normally buy an eye shadow palette you get those really rubbish foam brushes, but with this palette you get a double sided brush, one with a blending side the other to apply. I used this brush to apply my shadow and I was so surprised with how good it was. The blending side really blended my shadow nicely.

Pigmentation: I think these colours show up so well, I didn't even use a primer! These shadows are very buildable too, which is great if you're using more than one colour, or if you want to really intensify your look.

(Buy this palette here.)

Look 1:

I first applied the colour 'Bias' to the brow bone to give my brows a highlighted look.

I then applied the colour 'Style' to the crease using the fluffy blending brush.

I then went in with 'Mode' as the main lid colour.

Then went back over with the colour 'Style' to intensify the crease.

I then added eyeliner and some false lashes, ta-dah!

Look 2:

I first applied the colour 'Bias' to the brow bone.

I then applied the colour 'Adapt' to the crease with the fluffy blending brush.

I then applied Custom' as the main lid colour.

I also applied a little bit of 'Strong' to the outer area of the eye, only a tiny bit then I blended it.

Then I applied eyeliner and false lashes, and there you have it look number 2!

I love that this palette has a huge amount of looks you can create. You just have to play around and see what you can create. This eye shadow palette is so beautiful and perfect for Autumn. Ill definitely be wearing this on a regular basis.

Let me know what you think to this eye shadow palette in the comments.

10 things all cat owners can relate to.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing my thoughts that all cat owners experience. If you didn't know I had cats, where have you been? they are all I go on about. I have to admit I am a little cat obsessed, but not quite at the crazy cat lady point (I hope not anyway) If you didn't know I have two cats. The cat pictured above is called Jasper, and the one below is called Sooty.

Thinking about getting cats? let me share with you what its actually like to have them...

Very cute cats aren't they, but they do have their annoying traits.
1- Purring, now this is often considered as a very cute thing; it's not when you're being woken up to it at a crazy time in the morning. My cats have a plan of purring in your ear and making as much noise as possible until you get up and feed them.
2- They sleep all day and come alive at night, this can be annoying I'm not going to lie. My cats can often start running around playing when I decide to go to bed; whereas when I'm awake they are quite as ever.
3- Leather sofa that looks gorgeous, yeah not when you decide to get cats. Be prepared for your cats to scratch the crap out of it. At first, we had a leather sofa but soon had to get another. I really don't know what it is with my cats and leather. They have so many scratch posts, but still insist on scratching furniture.
4- So you're relaxing on the sofa or busy doing something, but your cat decides they want attention. My cats will not stop annoying you until you stop what you're doing and give them your full attention. Once I was writing a blog post and Jasper kept being mardy and crying, but I was too busy to stroke him so he decided to climb on my laptop and distract me.
5- "I know let's get the cats some treats they will love them", yep they definitely loved them so much so they decided to jump up and rip the whole bag open and demolish the lot!
6- Cats are greedy they will eat and eat until they are sick, trust me. My cats always think whenever I or my mum go in the kitchen they are going to get fed, you could have just fed them that minute and they will still think FOOD!
7- Trying to get a cute picture with your cat, and the reality is you end up getting scratched. Cats really let you know when they have had enough! They certainly aren't shy of that.
8- So my cats literally seem to follow me everywhere, no joke they even follow me when I go in the bath. This one time Sooty decided to sit on the edge of the bath, and he accidently fell in. Sooty then ended up looking like a drowned rat bless him!
9- Cats can be lazy. Don't expect them to be playing all day because half of the time they just sleep.
10- No matter how annoying your cats can be, you still love them no matter what!

Two budget friendly lipsticks im loving.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Todays blog post is featuring two fab products which I spotted in Superdrug. There's a beautiful brownish nude and a gorgeous plum, oh and also believe it or not these lipsticks are £2.99. They are both by collection. Is it just me who always wants to say collection 2000, still cant get used to the name change.

Here are some swatches and ill go into further detail down below.

This is the brownish nude colour. I have been wearing this a lot since I bought it, because its perfect and seems to go with everything. I love this lipstick for more day to day; whereas if I was to dress things up a little I would go for the plum look.

If you didn't remember here's another reminder of the name!

I really feel the need to say sorry about my overly chipped nails, ill paint them now I promise. Here is a picture of the fig delight lipstick, its so pretty and natural right?

So like I mentioned when describing the fig delight lipstick, I wear this when I feel more dressier. I feel this is such a statement and really adds some jazz to your makeup look.

Here's another reminder of the name in case you all have memories as bad as me. (That means you have terrible memories Ha Ha)

Such a beautiful colour, and on this picture I sneakily tried to crop out my horrendous chipped nails, you're welcome.

£1 eyeshadow, no way!

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I am showing you this bargain eye shadow, when I saw it I couldn't believe it was only £1! The pigmentation is incredible. I have been looking for a purple shade of eye shadow for a while now, so this instantly caught my eye. I'm not going to lie I was so excited to try this out and I knew I had to blog about it. I think  makeup revolution is an amazing makeup line for people on a budget. I say to a lot of people, just because you pay a big price for makeup it doesn't mean its going to be good.

I recommend you go down to Superdrug and check their eye shadows out they are amazing. I am very impressed.

This eye shadow is in the colour insomnia.
To create this look I used the colour insomnia all over my lid. Then I applied a darkish brown to my crease to intensify the look. The darkish brown colour is from my urban decay on the run palette. You don't have to add another colour like I have, you could apply the insomnia colour all over for a casual look.

By the way my lipstick is collection fig delight!

I got my nose pierced!

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. So today I finally got my nose pierced its been a long time coming. If you follow me on twitter (you totally should by the way follow here) then you will know I have been going on about it for a while. I thought I would just go get it done and I am so glad I did. I have actually had my nose pierced before about two years ago, but unfortunately it fell out and I couldn't get it back in. This time I am going to really look after it.

The pain: Right I'm not going to lie it did hurt, but it is a piercing so its going to hurt a little. It also makes your eyes water a little. What's really good is that as soon as the needle goes through its done and you can go!

If you're thinking of getting your nose pierced just get it done! Obviously make sure you have your parents permission if you're under 16.

So just a quick post today and I hope you like my piercing as much as I do. I know not everyone likes piercings and we all have our own opinion!

A little throwback...

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I was looking back at some old pictures and found this one of me dancing. It made me remember all my old dreams and what they are today. When I was little I used to love singing and dancing, you would never shut me up when I was singing. I used to sing literally everywhere. I also loved acting and dancing, every school play I had to be in and I always wanted the lead role. Looking back at old videos of me in school plays makes me laugh, because I used to think I was some sort of Hollywood actress.  What I really found strange was how things change, whenever somebody asked me what I loved when I was little I would always say singing. Today things are a lot different, of course I still sing from time to time but I'm nowhere near as passionate as I used to be.

When I was little I always knew that I loved writing too, I would always be writing little stories that I still have now. I always knew that was a big passion of mine and something I knew I wanted to pursue at an early age. I remember when I was little I wrote a remake of the humpty dumpty song, and it was framed on the wall I was so happy. I was always told of teachers when I was little that I was very good at using my imagination. I always used to come up with new stories out of nowhere and write them all down.

I guess the moral to this little blog post is that all are dreams when we are younger change. I thought I was going to be some superstar singer or actress; but the reality today is that I want to pursue journalism. Like I said  writing was a big passion when I was little and it still is, so I just know that journalism is the right job for me, and its one that I know I would enjoy. I love looking through old pictures and having lovely flashbacks. When I saw this picture I just remembered how I loved performing. I used to always want to be on a karaoke. I was nowhere near shy when I was little to get up and start singing; but today I would never dream of doing that I'm far too shy!

Everyday makeup routine.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I will be showing you my ever so basic make up routine. I see these routines everywhere on YouTube; but not so much on blogs. Here is my take blog style I hope you like it. I don't tend to use many products day to day, because I like to keep it as simple as I can. Who wants a huge routine everyday? I know I really couldn't be bothered with that, as I am way too tired in the morning.

First thing I apply is my simple moisturiser, because it leaves my skin so glowy and soft. I love how healthy my skin looks when I use this!

Secondly I apply this primer. If I am out all day I want my make up to last without having to touch it up all day long.
This primer is perfect I hardly ever have to touch up my makeup.

Thirdly I apply a BB cream. I do not use foundations now, because I feel like they cake my face and I don't like the feel of them anymore. I love how light weight this feels, it honestly feels like I have nothing on!

Fourth thing I put on is concealer, now this collection concealer is mentioned all the time I know. Its so good and a great price. It covers any blemishes my BB cream misses.

Fifth and sixth thing to apply is my bronzer and blusher, from my urban decay palette. I love this bronzer it gives a natural bronzed look. The blusher looks scary I know, but its so natural.
(Please remember a little goes a long way with this blusher!)

Seventh thing I apply is eye shadow. I apply the colour cocoa dream (the fourth one). I apply it all over the lid and I've done.

Eighth thing I apply is eyeliner. This eyeliner is collection and I love it. I am seriously not the best at eyeliner, and I often find my self resulting in un even eyeliner flicks, but this is really easy. If I can apply this then so can you!

I then apply some Vaseline to my lips, because I really suffer from dry lips.

obviously a look isn't complete with out mascara.

I use this palette from Avon to fill in my brows.

The finished look easy peasy!

My top 10 inspirational quotes

(Picture from Google)

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, and happy Friday (yay). Today I will be showing you my top 10 favourite quotes. I think quotes are such a big thing in everyone's life. I see them everywhere on social media sites, and they really are great to motivate yourself and give you inspiration. These quotes can help but obviously you have to be motivated and positive in yourself first.

1- Positive mind. Positive vibes. Positive life. This quote is my all time favourite, because positivity is what really makes your life better. Without positivity its hard to push your self to achieve things. You have to start with a good mind to do well in life, because if you have a negative attitude it gives the impression of not being bothered. The result of negativity never ends well.

2- This is one of my pictures and I love this quote. The reason why I love this quote so much, is because as an over thinker you can often worry about pointless things. This quote really puts things into perspective and makes you realise life isn't such a bad thing. There is no point wasting days worrying, try and make the most of life. Smiling can be the best medicine.

(Picture from Google)

3- I love this quote, because I really feel like its talking to me. I am one of those many girls who can often end up comparing myself to others. This is such a vicious cycle and ends up making you feel so low. When you stop comparing yourself to others and be happy for who you are, that's when you can begin to be more happier.

(Picture from Google)

4- I really believe that smiling is the best medicine, it can really lift your mood. By smiling more often and enjoying life, you begin to enjoy it more.

(Picture from Google)

5-  I love this quote, because it really emphasises how precious life is. You never know what is around the corner so enjoy it, and make every day count.

(Picture from Google)

6- I am a strong believer of this quote. It may be an exam you have failed and you feel like its the end of the world, but I always think its happened for a reason. When you look back at where you are now in years to come, you will smile and realise what I mean with this quote.

(Picture from Google)

7- Like I said on the first quote, a positive mind is the real start to living a happy successful life. If you show you have a positive attitude, everyone will see that and know you're determined to do well.

(Picture from Google)

8- We all have bad days and good. This quote really explains that its normal. To deal with a bad day you should accept it and relax, don't beat your self up about it.

(Picture from Google)

9-  I love this quote, because it really emphasises in life we should try to say yes more. If we carry on saying no to fun new opportunities you will only regret it in later life.

(Picture from Google)

10- This quote really sums up the positivity thing, because when you have a positive mind set that's when the good days come, so then when you have a negative mind set the bad days come.

My favourite pamper products.

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. Today I am focusing my post on my body pamper essentials. To me every one of these products are an absolute essential for me to achieve smooth soft skin. Most of these products are Ted baker, because I love his bath stuff. Ted Baker's bath range is so indulgent and smells divine. I could only describe the scent as being very fresh and clean. Ted Baker is one of those brands where you really get what you're paying for. These products were actually bought for me at Christmas time, and there is  still lots left! I do also love spa sanctuary too.

So here are my favourite pamper products.

Starting off with a basic. Hand cream is such an essential and its something I always carry in my bag. Who wants dry hands?, not me. I love how you only have to use a tiny bit, because a little really does go a long way. This also smells amazing, like I said that's one of the things that draws me to Ted Baker bath products. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I have recommended Ted Baker bath products to my friends and family, I have even bought my family products for Christmas and birthdays, as well as friends too. I have fully converted my family into using these products!

This is an essential, because many people neglect their feet. Its so important to give them some TLC. Who wants to look at dry cracked heels, it certainly isn't attractive. I took this stuff with me on holiday last year, because I constantly had my feet on show, when wearing flip flops and sandals.

This body lotion is so creamy, it just melts straight into your skin. What I love the most about this product is that it doesn't require endless rubbing in. It smells beautiful and leaves your skin so soft. This is great for dry areas, like knees and elbows before fake tanning.

This products is great for when I've just got out of the bath, and I want something really moisturising and hydrating for my skin. I use this non stop at winter, because it really improve dry skin. I even use it after the body lotion for extra softness!
